About UsWe are small scale chicken and flower farmers, husband and wife team, Kim and Charles. We have always believed that a fresh and natural way of cooking and growing was best for us. After raising our first chickens, and tasting how much better our egg are compared to store purchased, we wanted to share that experience with others. Additionally because our chickens free range, what we put into the earth, they consume, so it is doubly important to us to stick with non-chemical means of growing our flowers, vegetables and herbs.

Our History |
Since 1992 we have called Red Dirt Farm our home. It is a 1930's cottage style Virginia farm house in Central Virginia. In 2015 we started a major whole house renovation and addition. Kim's father, known as Father Cottage will be joining us here at the cottage sometime in the near future. Father Cottage is a retired Forester, currently an active member of the local Senior Center. He grew up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania and brings a lifetime of farm and forestry knowledge to our fold. In 2015 we began seeing Kim's life long dream of having a few farm animals.
